MOBILE BANKING – GETTING STARTED

Log in to your Security State Bank Online Banking account. 

  • Not enrolled in Online Banking? You must be enrolled in Online Banking to use Mobile Banking.  Enrolling in Online Banking is simple and provides access to your account information.  To enroll visit www.ssbwa.com or stop by any of our branch locations. 

Select Mobile Banking on the menu bar.

Carefully read the Mobile Deposit Terms and Conditions Addendum. Mark the check box if you Accept the Terms and then Submit.

Complete the Mobile Banking Enrollment by selecting and entering your Mobile Banking Credentials

Select a Username (Mobile Login) that includes numbers and/or letters. (For security purposes, we recommend that you select a Mobile Username that is not the same as your Security State Bank Online Banking Login ID.)

Provide your preferred and valid Mobile Number beginning with area code. Do not use hyphens.

  • Only one mobile phone number can be registered per Online Banking account.
  • Your mobile device must have SMS text messaging and/or Internet access through a web enabled browser.
  • You will need to have your mobile device ready in order to complete the enrollment process.

Create a Mobile Password that is 4-12 characters in length. You can use numbers, letters, or a combination of numbers and letters. A complex password is recommended.

Confirm your Mobile Password.

Select ENROLL to accept and process your Mobile Banking enrollment.

Two text messages will be sent immediately to the mobile device connected with the mobile phone number you provided to authenticate the phone number.

  • Text #1: This message confirms mobile browser banking is enabled.
  • Text #2: This message asks you to confirm and complete enrollment in Security State Bank’s Mobile Banking service.  Reply to this text with YES to complete the enrollment process.

Once you reply YES, a third message is sent.

  • Text #3: This message confirms that your mobile device has been enabled for Mobile Banking through SMS messaging.

You are now enrolled in Mobile Banking.

  1. Select the Security State Bank Mobile App icon on your device.
  2. Enter your Username. This is the username you created when enrolling in Mobile Banking using your Online Banking account.
  3. Enter your Mobile Password.   This is the password you created when enrolling in Mobile Banking using your Online Banking account.
  4. Login. The first time you login, you will need to answer the secure challenge question and select Authenticate.

ACCOUNT BALANCES: View the most up-to-date balances on your accounts.  Select an account to see recent transactions, including any pending transactions.

BILL PAY: Submit Bill Payments to billers previously set up in Security State Bank Online Banking. 

TRANSFER: Quickly transfer funds between your Security State Bank accounts. 

DEPOSIT: Remotely deposit a check to your Security State Bank checking or MMDA account.

SETTINGS: Change your Mobile Banking password and other settings based on user preference.

ABOUT: Provides version information about the App.

LOG OFF: Select to Log Off of Mobile Banking after each session.

 

How do I use BILL PAY through the Mobile Banking App?

From your device, make payments to billers you’ve previously created and set up through Security State Bank Online Banking. From the menu screen choose Bill Pay.

  1. Select the Payee from the menu.
  2. Select the Account to pay the bill from.
  3. Enter the Dollar Amount.
  4. Choose the Send on Date – the date you want to send payment.
  5. Click Schedule Payment.
  6. A confirmation message shows. Submit or Confirm to pay the bill or if you don’t want to confirm either click back or Cancel.

For security purposes, to add payees, cancel or change a scheduled payment, or to receive or view e-bills, please use your Online Banking account.

 

How do I deposit an item through the Mobile Banking App?

Not near a branch, not a problem! Deposit your check to your Security State Bank checking or MMDA account remotely using your Mobile App.

  1. Prepare your check for deposit.
  2. Make sure this is a valid check to deposit
  3. The check has not been deposited before.
  4. The check is made payable to a signer on the account it is being deposited into.
  5. Endorse your check and also endorse with For Mobile Deposit Only at Security State Bank.
  6. From the menu screen choose Deposit.
  7. Select Deposit Check from the menu.
  8. Next, select the Deposit To account.
  9. Enter the Amount.
  10. Take a picture of the Check Front.
  11. Take a picture of the Check Back.
  12. Select Make Deposit.
  13. Select Deposit History to see the status of the deposit. Transmitted means it was received by the bank.

Deposits made before 4 p.m. Pacific time on a business day that have been received and accepted by the bank will be considered deposited that business day. The deposited funds will not show in your account balance until the next business day. 

File/Destroy Deposited Check. Once you confirm that the deposit has been made to your account:

  1. Write Electronically Presented at top of the check.
  2. Securely store check for 60 days after transmission.
  3. After 60 days, mark the item as “Void” or properly dispose of the item.

-Please note: all submitted deposits are subject to review before considered final. A deposit submitted successfully does not mean the funds are immediately available for use.

-In general, funds from mobile deposits made before 4 p.m. Pacific time on a business day will be available for withdrawal on the next business day, unless a hold is applied.

-Please review the Mobile Deposit Terms and Conditions Addendum for more information. 

 

How do I Log Off the Mobile App?

  1. From the menu screen, choose Log Off.  Once logged off, you are returned to the Login screen.

-Under Settings on the menu screen, if you do not choose “Stay Logged In” you will be logged out upon exit of the App.

-For security purposes, you will automatically be logged off the App after five minutes of inactivity.


 

SMS TEXT BANKING

Access your account information using simple commands through text messaging.

Standard text messaging and data fees for web access from your wireless provider may apply.

Text desired commands to: 469228

 BALANCE INQUIRY: Request available balances for all linked accounts.

                Commands:  BALANCE, BAL, B

                Example:  BAL <account name>

ACCOUNT DETAILS: Request details for a specific account.

                Command:  DETAILS

                Example:  DETAILS <account name>

TRANSACTIONS: Request a mini-statement for a specific account

                Commands:  TRANSACTIONS, STATEMENT, TRAN, HISTORY, RECENT, LOG

                Example:  RECENT <account name>

ACCOUNT TRANSFER: Transfer funds between your linked accounts

                Commands:  TRANSFER, XFER, X

                Example:  TRANSFER <amount> FROM <account name> TO <account name>

HELP: Obtain ways to get help

                Commands:  HELP, HELPALL, HELP BAL

STOP: Disable Mobile Access
